Of course you feel anxious—you know the body will age and one day die. But what if I told you that you are not what you think you are? You are not the body that was born, grows old, and eventually perishes. You are something subtler—timeless, eternal consciousness. Sounds unbelievable? Stay with me.

Here are a few clues. Contemplate them in silence, repeat them often, and allow yourself to sink into them:

  • There is a quiet place within you that silently observes your life. If that place were not there, how would you even know that time and change are happening? To perceive change, you need a fixed point. What is that place? Who is there?

  • Are you absolutely sure you are awake right now? Could this be a dream? Notice that there is a witnessing place that observes both your dreams and your waking state. What is that place? Who is there?

  • Did the world exist while you were in deep sleep? Or did it appear only when the alarm rang? Can you know for sure?

What is this place? Is it really a place at all? Does it have a beginning or an end? Was it born? Will it die? Is it dull or lifeless—or is it vast, alive, and radiant? Just try to be there - don't try to "understand" or use your "mind" - which means to ignore any thoughts or explanations that appear in your head.

That witnessing awareness is your true nature. Consciousness itself. The Holy Spirit. Eternal, timeless, infinite.

The scriptures point to this: “You are the ocean in which the arks of the universes appear and disappear.” — Ashtavakra Gita

But you cannot discover this truth by thought alone. You must sincerely yearn for it. When your longing is genuine, your inner spirit will answer. That is the miracle—and it has happened for me. Believe, and it will open for you too.

Here is a beautiful invitation to rest in that place, shared by my Guru Sri Mooji. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptcINj_7tcI
