Guru’s Grace - Sri Sathya Sai

My first encounter with Sri Sathya Sai, was a visit to his ashram at Puttaparthi in 1999. It was a visit to take a friend (Yogi Nambiar from South Africa), who was a devotee of Sri Sathya Sai. It was the first time I have ever been in front of a living Guru! I stayed at the dorm there and had multiple Darshans of Sai - nothing notable in how we humans perceive life around us - but I guess transformative in terms of inner spiritual development - A significant point in my journey!

Manju, my wife, was a devotee and we ended up having more Darshans when Sai visited the Ashram in Bangalore. I know Sai's Grace was always there and he came back into our daily lives in the form of friends who were active volunteers of the local Sai Samiti, Narayan and Indira, who stayed in the same apartment. Since then - Sai Bhajans, Pujas and Sevas are a regular part of our lives.

I have something interesting to share that the house where my Guru Anantaji lives (on Old Airport Road), was owned by a Sai Devotee and was used as a Sai guest house - more connections :)
